The boy band has announced that it will play two concerts this August in Inverness and Edinburgh.

Chart-topping boy band Boyzone are to make a welcome return to Scotland this summer to play two special outdoor concerts, they revealed today.

Ronan Keating, Shane Lynch, Mikey Graham and Keith Duffy made the announcement just after performing their Brother tour in Glasgow at the weekend, which was dedicated to their late friend and former band member, Stephen Gately.

The guys, who have had hits with songs such as Love Me For a Reason and No Matter What, will come back up north in August to perform at the beautiful five-star country home Hopetoun House on August 6, with sexy girl band The Saturdays appearing as their special guests.

They will then return on August 27 to play at the Northern Meeting Park in Inverness, with Shayne Ward – who recently made a comeback in the music scene - as the support act.

Audiences of 12,000 will get the chance to see the band, which has sold over 15million records and had six number one hits in the UK charts.

Lead singer in the band, Ronan said: “We always enjoy coming to Scotland as the fans always give us such a great reception.

“We can't wait for these summer dates as we'll be performing some of our classic hits as well as great tracks from the new album, in these amazing venues and with some cracking support acts. You really don't want to miss out so come and join us.”
